Jaya Ahsan is one of the most acclaimed and internationally recognized faces of Bangladeshi cinema. Beginning in modelling, she found wide success as an actress with Guerrilla (2011), Chorabali (2012), Zero Degree (2015), Debi (2018), Alatchakra: Circle of Desire (2021), and Beauty Circus (2022) — six Best Actress wins at the Bangladesh National Film Awards. In 2018 she founded her own production house C For Cinema and produced Debi. She was an invited honoree at the 2013 Cannes Film Festival for Aborto. Her Bollywood debut came in 2023 with Kadak Singh (Zee5, directed by Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury). At Eid 2025 she released two films — Taandob and Utshob; "Utshob" crossed ৳5 Crore at multiplexes in 29 days.
